Unchecked checkbox in open-with dialog for unknown files

In windows xp "open with" dialog, i have never found an option to have default an unchecked checkbox for "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" when opening an unknown file. reference: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/alwaysopen.htm i've altered my windows xp system so that when an unknown file is double clicked, you do not have the option to select "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" (where the checkbox doesn't exist, using resource hacker). however, if i add a key to hkey classes root, and name it with the three letter extension of the file i want to work with, then all of a sudden i do have the option to select "always use this program for this file type", and it is unchecked! so what i want to do, is add a context menu item to unknown files (i'd call it "associate"), that will: 1. create the three letter extension key in hkcr 2. then run the "open with" dialog for said extension please write a small program that will do this. this program would not need to be installed (i can add the item in the context menu for unknown filetypes), and not require anything that doesn't already come with winxp sp2 or windows 7. if it is as simple as a batch file, do not have the command-prompt-window flash on the screen when the batch file is run.

New server / google apps 2

Current server is hosting about 20 mainly very small domains, many of them only email for max 5 persons. i have a new server to which these domains have to be switched over. however, for most domains i would like to use google apps for mail. all history should be imported into google.

Greetings! i have an old financial analysis program (from 1998) written for windows back then. i need to update the user interface and convert it to a web-based program so it can be accessed by mac users as well as pc users. the updated software needs to be able to store information for each user (so we need to have some sort of password/login ability, plus it must be written to provide total security--i have a secure site it can be hosted on). i will be charging for monthly access to the program, so either it will be accessed through a wordpress membership, or we will need to add a membership utility to the software (your suggestion is appreciated). it is a simple program and should be easily converted to a web-based version. the current version, which runs on pc, can be downloaded at http://www.tucows.com/preview/393045. i have the license to the source code of a previous version, and will provide those files for you to use and update. this needs to be running in beta by the end of the week--we have an urgent product launch that came up by surprise. thanks!

I"m willing to pay $150-225 for this work. it will be a wordpress wedding planner site made. it must be done in 21 days or less. the provider chosen must email me each day with updates. it does not need to be long, just saying what they did yesterday, what they will do today, and wh what challenges they've encountered. i'll pick someone fast for this project. ... what i need is a web site with provision to sell a estimating program that's use for wedding planning type application with dozens of categories with sub on sub sections must be easy find and easy to use. really the site is going to be easy. all the pages except the homepage will look the same, just have different text. i'm going to have someone make a homepage design and then a page to represent the look of all the other pages. you will then chop that work up and put it into the site. they also want a fading rotating picture on the homepage, but that's simple stuff. also we need sounds and movement when you click on a button. now those are all easy the hard part is the actual application. it's to be modeled after the application attached (well just host it works). note the app attached is not for wedding planning. also we have decided yet if it will be a popup like that or just multiple pages on the site. but the functioning will work like that. the application will work just like that pdf. the user will to a large glass appearance "buy now" button, be directed to credit cards section with pay pal click bank options and once payment is made the customer will be asked for e mail details and an aweber automated e mail message will be sent to them with congratulations and a pass word. they proceed to a log in area and enter their password. from here they will be directed to a wizard that will take them through the installation process. when installed they get an info screen. this is where personal details are entered e.g. client name,phone number contacts, email address,fax number etc. this section is for use by a wedding planner to plan another couples wedding. however the main purpose of the program is meant for couples to plan & estimate the costs of their own wedding. then they click on a tab "start estimate". this is where there will be a new program page that will list all the categories .they will be listed on the left of the page and each will have a box to tick that will open the right hand side of the page so we have a split screen to view the available text information on that category with a table for suggested price and another for actual price. i.e. the categories list will remain in view and to the right side, information text related to the categories will be displayed with provision for entering extra information. this may have to be done through a data base entry. please advise. there will be a space for people to type in there own information that will be automatically saved and there would be a sub total column that when an amount is entered, it would automatically also be entered onto the left side next to its category name. as each category is completed an auto sum will show the total.

(create a function for this) 13) create a function to double check the authorization codes. once double checked then start work flow. if a payment problem occurs there should be a way that administration is able to remove that order from the list and send an email to inform them we require them to fax id/ front and back copy of credit card. give a tracking number. if they don't send the id/and copy of credit card after 72 hours then kill the order. make a note on profile to flag this customer. each order must be double checked so highlight their order in red or something. 14) test lab work flow. contact lenses, and glasses have different requirements and some labs may offer better savings so we want to be able to modify or overrule a lab supplier. note: we may need to do refunds and or warranty claims. 15) test to make sure people in ontario have to book optician for contact lens fit 16) create a contact lens quiz to test if user knows how to use contact lenses or not. if score <90% then they can not receive contact lenses. they can do a re-test after 24hours. flag as red. call customer to double check that they know how to use contact lenses. optician can deny the sale and block the email address from purchasing contact lenses from our site. 17) implement work flow (test the workflow with 3 different suppliers) track the different stages it is in ie. work order->real order->waiting for contacts->inform customer we received them and tracking number is ______. note they can pick up or we can ship via canada post/ups etc. 18) test to make sure users can check the status of the order. the customer should be able to log in and view his/her purchase and print a receipt. 19) once the shipment has arrived then send emails about taking care of the contact lens. see workflow contact lens emails and customer 20) create glasses part of the website. define jpg sizes and number of pics. we will update the products from our end. for testing purposes you will be supplied with 20 products to upload to the site for you to test. note frames not in stock should not be listed. after 6 months if product can not be re-ordered then move frame to “dead stock.” note we do carry some frames that we do not have in stock but we can order. 21) create glasses workflow 22) test lab workflow process 23) test to make sure people in ontario have to book optician for measurements 24) test tracking 25) now that the program has been created go to workflow diagram under store ops set this up and implement it. 26) create reports on what frame color, type, brand,style sells, where are they ordering from ie. ontario vs canada vs america vs international we are targeting ontario but we can cross market, how many people are trying to return, how many people are happy, how many people respond to emails, how is our marketing campaigns going etc. 27) create reports on which contact lenses are selling, 28) track the turnaround time for a complete purchase. 29) test each employees roles, functionality, dashboard, to do lists etc. 30) again as you go through the workflow you will see functions. each function should be tracked to test to see if there problems. 31) included in the price is 1 year support from the day of final delivery. if we are happy we will keep you on board.
